America has got its very first 4G smartphone and the first impression I get is “Look at that massive screen!” Of all the smartphones out there, this one has to have the biggest screens, or at least one of the biggest screens. The HTC EVO is a definite showstopper and you are inclined to give it more than just a first casual look. Besides, there are going to be a lot of tech-geeks out there who’d be dying to get their hands on an Android phone run on a 4G network.
Another feature that has got people really kicked about bringing the HTC EVO home is that it operates on Sprint’s WiMax 4G networks. That, when coupled with the 1GHz Snapdragon processor ensures that you have the faster-than-light download speeds. Besides, the 4.3-inch touch screen makes it an absolute pleasure to surf the internet on this baby. And finally, the cherry on the icing – the HTC EVO has the ability to share its 4G connection with up to eight devices over Wi-Fi. Cool!

When you look at the build and design of the EVO, you notice that while it is big, it is by no means bulky in your hands. It is a bit taller and wider than an iPhone, but owing to EVO’s size zero figure, it fits neatly into your hands. It isn’t very heavy either. So, overall, I would say, your hands are going to enjoy playing with EVO. And you are going to get loads of compliments as well; really nice ones!
Now, coming to the star of the phone – EVO’s touchscreen. In one word, it is gorgeous. Not only is it bigger than most other devices in the market, it also gives you rich and vibrant images. No matter what you do on it, things are absolutely crystal clear. Watching videos, texting, and e-mailing no longer require you to squint at the screen trying to figure out what’s on it.
Speaking of texting, the EVO does not have a physical keyboard. Although a lot of people don’t really enjoy using virtual keyboards, on EVO it is surprisingly easy to do so. Since the screen is bigger, it is easier to use the keyboard and you make a lot fewer mistakes when typing.
